Everything people ask

Will it flip inside out?

Ten fibreglass-reinforced ribs flex in a gust and return instead of snapping. The frame is rated for Beaufort force 6, a strong breeze of roughly 25–31 mph.

Is this the same as the £15 carabiner umbrellas online?

The idea of a clip handle is not unique to us. What you pay for here is the ten-rib frame, the auto open-and-close mechanism, the UPF50+ underside, the colour range, a UK-based seller, 14-day returns and a 12-month defect warranty.

How heavy is it?

About 490 g.

How big is it?

One size. 105 cm across when open, 68.5 cm tall, and 37 cm by 6 cm folded. Measured by hand, so allow a small variance.

Will the clip scratch my bag or come undone?

The ring is moulded plastic with a matte soft-touch finish, not metal, and the gate is sprung closed. Clip it to a strap, hook or D-ring rather than a fabric loop that could stretch.

Can I use it in the sun?

Yes. The inside of the canopy has a black coating that blocks 99% of UV rays, rated UPF50+, so it works as a parasol and stays noticeably cooler underneath.

How do I dry and store it?

Shake it, hang it open or half-open by the ring until dry, then fold and strap. Do not store it wet in a bag.

When will it arrive?

Orders are dispatched from the UK within 1–2 days and delivered in 4–6 days. You get a tracking link by email when it ships.

Can I return it if I change my mind?

Yes, within 14 days of delivery, unused and in its packaging. You pay return postage. We refund within 2–3 working days of receiving and checking it; your bank may take a few more days.

What does the warranty cover?

Manufacturing defects for 12 months from delivery: a rib that fails in normal use, a button that stops working, seams that open. Not covered: damage from misuse, being left open in a storm, being sat on, or normal wear. Your statutory rights are not affected.
